| Does bottled water come from a natural source or a public source? |
| Bottled water may come from either a natural source or a public source. Bottled water that comes from natural sources like springs or wells likely originated from deep within the earth. These protected sources are inspected, tested and certified by the state or country of origin to be of sanitary quality. The bottled water that originates from these natural sources does not come from surface water sources where certain types of organisms, such as Cryptosporidium, may be found. Bottled water that comes from a public source, like a municipal water supply, is basically tap water that has undergone a process to lower the mineral content and to remove chemicals such as chlorine. While the purity of bottled water that comes from public sources is not equal to the purity of bottled water that comes from natural sources, the taste differentiation between the two is usually unnoticable. Pairing bottled water with bottled water coolers provides you with an accessible, convenient source of both chilled and heated bottled water. Home Page | FAQs | Glossary | Contact Us |
