| The members of the International Bottled Water Association produce and distribute 85 percent of the bottled water sold in the United States. Members of this organization, as a condition of membership, must submit to annual, unannounced inspections of their bottled water plant from an internationally recognized, third party inspection organization – NSF International. This inspection covers all areas of bottled water plant operation - from source through finished product - to guarantee that the bottled water consumers buy meets all federal, state and the International Bottled Water Association bottled water regulations.
