| What is natural mineral water and where does it come from? |
| Natural mineral water is water that is derived from an underground formation called an aquifer, which has water naturally flowing from it to the surface of the earth. To be certified natural mineral water, the water must be collected at the source or through a borehole tapping into the underground formation. In addition, the force driving the water to the surface must also be natural and the water itself must be bottled at the source (unless special arrangements are made). Because of nature’s Hydrologic Cycle, or water cycle, the water on our planet is naturally being purified and replenished on an ongoing basis. Water that has been on earth for millions of years and has gone through the Hydrologic Cycle – moving from the earth to air and then to the earth again – is what all kinds of water (including natural mineral) is made of.
